Strix 2080ti OC oil splatter

Hi Guys,

 

So I observed some oil dots/splatters on the inside of my TG panel exactly at the height of rear-most fan of the GPU. There is also oil dots at the mainboard between the USB3.0 header and the chipset fan. I took the card out to inspect and observed some oil spots on the shroud. After some reading, it seems this is not a very common issue with this particular GPU. I already ordered replacements fans from AliExpress as RMA is out of the question for me due to 6 to 10 weeks turnaround time here. GPU temp is okay so far while gaming. Maxing out at 72C. However, I do hear some rattling noise when the GPU fan is at it's lowest speed which is 26% during idle. The rattling will go away if I put my finger on the back plate. 

 

What do you guys think? Is this something detrimental in the long run?

Yes oil. I picked it up with my finger and it tasted like sewing machine oil on my tongue. I know, bad habit.
