I recently bought a new pc. Specs are r5 3600, 2x8 3200mhz ram, b550 msi mortar mag.

The first time i tried to boot it. The mobo led debug is stuck on the dram. Does that mean i have a faulty ram even though the rgb lighting on my corsar vengeance is lighting up? I ve booted it multiple times and its still stuck there.

A follow up question is that will my newly built pc will boot even though i put storages that already has windows and stuff. I alrrady deleted display drivers just in case to be a fresh driver if it boots

Try to reseat the RAM, try one DIMM at a time, clear CMOS. The LEDs lighting up doesn't say anything about if the RAM is working. This only means the LEDs are powered. Maybe even reseat your CPU.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I personally don't like using the same windows install with completely different Hardware. All sorts of issues can occur. But it's also possible that everything works. Just try, i guess.

Also if too much thermal paste was used it may seep into the socket.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)
