i didnt get it lmao,
lets say i have my ssd installed with windows running (while hdd removed) at it then i installed msi after burner that is programmed to be launched on startup, then after that shutdown and install my hdd with MSI after burner also then after installing hdd i set boot order to be ssd first

my question is which msi afterburner would it open the one in the ssd or the one in the hdd? @bmx6454

like if you have two different installs from the same os on two different drives? honestly not sure, i would assume which ever one was installed more recently will be the one that works, and i would think the other one wouldn't. not 100% sure though lol

but, if you mean one will be installed on the ssd, on an os on said ssd, and then installing a second version on a completely separate os on the hdd, then they would both run fine, and it will only launch the version associated with that os on that drive.

tl;dr: 2 drives, 2 os's, 2 msi afterburner's, each drive/os will only use the version installed on that os for that os. hope this clarifies.

currently i have 1TB HDD Right now i have apps installed like steam games micrsoft store apps garena and others
i plan to buy a ssd and install windows 10 pro on the ssd but i will boot from ssd and not hdd (right now windows is installed at hdd i dont have ssd yet but im planning to get 1)
what apps and files will not work when i will boot from ssd?

everything should still work fine,

just because you change your boot drive doesn't render the other applications on your HDD useless :)

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

You will still have old windows files on your HDD and it's likely you can't delete them. When changing your boot drive I'd always reccomend a fresh windows installation and formatting all your drives.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

without getting to deep waters, remove all hdd/ssd before you install the new windows.
If you need a simple way to keep the old windows key, just make a USB as a recovery rom, and recover on new SSD.
And always prefer to format the previous HDD

yes i will remove the my current hdd then install the new ssd then install windows
edit* install windows at new ss

you can copy all important files to the ssd, not sure about microsoft apps, maybe have to reinstall them. the steam games can be copied over, and a few small steps to get them working without having to waste the time re downloading.

yes thats what i was also thinking about, becuase i think its part of windows right?
but atleast i only have a few apps in there coz my snail wifi is very slow

It can be useful in case of SSD failure, but failing SSDs are much less likely than a failing hard-drive because an SSD has no moving parts.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

there isn't a good reason to have duplicates, it only complicates things, and takes up space. most apps will run fine if you have an app installed, and another old copy that is from the old os, but some can have issues. the os is going to use the install that is associated with that os regardless of which drive you use, but again, this tends to complicate things, and will lead to headaches if 1 of the drives fail, or you have an issue to track down.
