User folder on NAS by default

This would be for me personally so I wouldn't need to set up AD or GPOS. Would it just be as simple as redirecting the folder to the NAS' address?

yea just change the location of the user folder under their properties

Basically I have machine A and machine B and a NAS. I would want the entirety of the user directory to be mirrored between both machines without having to manually move things across either machine.

Is it advised to put your user folder on a NAS so that it is easier to sync files across multiple machines over LAN?

Both machines run Windows 10

EDIT:

Actually not the entire user folder (as I just realized that they may require editing the directory), just folders such as documents, pics, videos, etc

Redirected users do exactly this. You can put the user folder to any unc path you want.

If you set it up with active directory and gpos you can d it fully automatited, but you can do it manually aswell.

Would this cause any issues during start up?

Nope, if the server is offline cached files is enable by default. Or you just won't have any desktop/downloads files

Thanks!
