Spent 5 hours with Microsoft support I'm giving up now 

 

Astroneer issue keeps saying my friends server session is not found. Works for like 10 minutes then dies.

Oh you mean the party on the xbox app, you are missing the driver there is youtube videos on how to reinstall it

Well if it says his nat type is moderate then it looks like a problem on his side

we was just trying some stuff and in network on his router his general tab is missing (file explorer - network - right click properties - theres meant to be 2 tabs, he only has 1 wtf)

Some routers are different also try the xbox ambassadors maybe they can help more since I don't know much about networking, does he and you have an ipv4 adress?

they said its an isp issue (when its deffo not) and im screwed

 

i have no clue if either of our addresses are ipv4

Check if they are ipv4 and they are mostly right the nat type can be an isp issue had this issue before

Both ipv4 his Nat is moderate can't get it open done all ports forwarding.

 

We can sometimes play up to 15 minutes without it disconnecting. Average is like 5.
