Chipped Intel Chipset

I Have a Acer Aspire Vx15, and upon cleaning the fan i see so.e noticeable chipping on the top of the chipset die. The laptop seems to function fine no issues so far but i am worried for long term damage or presumably if this could affect the chipset at all. I am afraid if it has affected certain tracea in the silicon die.

There are two chippings. One visible at the top and one faint at the top left.

Will it be a problem, no one can know, long term. Short term seems like it isn't an issue. Should you RMA it? Im not sure how you are going to explain opening it and the chipset having damage but the company accepting that you didn't cause the damage when opening the laptop. If you can, and its a new item, RMA it

It'll be fine. I've run processors that looked worse than that.

If it works fine, then I guess it's good. As for long term. I'm not really sure.

Like what @Tristerin said. If it's new and you want/can rma it then you I guess do that.

In my recent attempts to extract the die by itself, I understand the active circuits in the die are on the side closest to the substrate. So, chipping the opposite side is not a major problem as long as it doesn't reach to the other side.
