hi,

So i took some RAW photos on my Sony a6400 and for some reason, They look like they were taken on a wide angle lens when I'm using a standard 50mm lens. How do I fix this? They look fine on the camera but the Windows Photos app is doing something and I don't know what. Can someone help?

Possibly need to download the RAW codec from Sony...? But really, unless you plan to edit your shots, I would shoot JPEG.

I do personally shoot RAW, and I edit with lightroom. But RAW makes everything a bit muted and flat, the point is to get as much possible dynamic range. JPEG processing brings colors back into the image and are just "easier" to work with. Basically, unless you plan to use lightroom or another similar app (which I do highly recommend doing, photo editing is great fun), I would just shoot JPEG.

Post a picture (ideally the RAW file and a screenshot of how it looks in the app).

Generally speaking though: I'm not sure that the Windows Photo app knows how to process RAW files but since it shows something there has to be something going on.
