Galaxy Tab broken?

Hi there LTT Forum people. 

I recently got my mums old tablet and it was working until it didn't. Hence the title. It got a battery replacement and every imaginable Hardreset. But it won't turn on. The last thing I did was a software update and I made sure it had full battery capacity. Now the only sign of life I get from it is a rapid '' plugged in and unplugged '' USB sound on my computer. No reaction or charging. And neither on a regular charger nor a premium aftermarket one. So I am a bit lost here. Any suggestions where to start?
