Odd no post error

Go to solution Solved by ZachSquared,

So it was the memory controller on my CPU causing the error

installed a new motherboard into my build, when I go to post it will not post. I get the yellow Dram error LED, and Q Codes 0D and C5 which are undefined by Asus.  However if I try just one stick it will post, but I have tried this with each stick and it has posted each time, however the moment I put in more then 1 stick of memory it goes back to not posting, I am at loss for what is going on.

I have updated the BIOS to the current version, tried new PSU,Tried another working GPU, new ram, and I get same symptoms.  Posts with 1 stick, but start adding more sticks it will not post.

CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x

GPU: 5700XT

PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum 850W

check your DRAM voltage.  more sticks will require more voltage to drive them.  4 sticks will usually require 10% over the rating on the sticks. (4 sticks rated at 1.5v each will require 1.65v to run stably)
This could be happening to you on small scale.

EDIT: Also, try running them at something slower than 2666.  See if that does anything to stabilize the system.

It must be true, I read it on the internet...

I have tried changing the voltage and increased it by 10% that did not work. This morning I went and purchased lower speed memory and still same result, work with one stick but as soon as I add additional stick it has the same error. So on a long shot I exchanged my new Mobo and well same error. So now I am wondering is it possible my CPU is causing the error? Temps have always been stable. It is practically new I only purchased in April 2020
