I don't know what's the best, but Macrium Reflect has worked every time for me.

Will i be able to clone the drive onto the new so it just works?

Like the 480gb is also the boot drive so i just want to copy the entire thing, plug and play

I used it for exactly that. Just make sure you clone the entire drive and not just one partition.

Most of the times I did it in a separate desktop, so the drive I was cloning wasn't the OS drive for that computer (it was the OS drive of a different computer). But the first time I used it, I used it to clone an 2.5'' HDD to an mSATA SSD fin a laptop that was booting from said HDD. I don't remember if cloning nad changng boot order was enough, if I had to further reboot once without the HDD, or if I needed one more step through recovery tools to "repair boot loader" or something like that (something coming from cloning a live OS, then trying to boot without ever shutting down from the cloned installation), before putting the 2.5'' back in. It was a long time ago, so things I actually did and things I read about and was prepared for blur a little :P

Either way it was super simple.
