I am looking into replacing a hdd in my laptop with an ssd, the os is on a small NVME ssd so that isn't being affected, just the 2tb drive I use as a bulk storage drive for steam and media and such, so I am looking for some free software that will let me make a bit for bit clone, so hopefully once it's done I can put it in the laptop and it will just work as the old drive did, no having to remap libraries or anything, it will just be as if nothing was changed, fingers crossed at least.

hope your all doing well

I use Acronis but it's not free.

I don't really want to pay for software for a one off use, I would be happy to if it was something I do frequently but I've never needed to do it before and can't see ever needing too again

Figured, though there might a free trial. It is 1 of the best.

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.
