How can you have six GPU's in a mining rig, but why cant you in a normal rig?

When mining, the cards are running independently.  You can run six cards in a normal rig, but they won't communicate for crossfire/sli.  You can also run into driver issues if you try to connect multiple monitors to every card.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.

because their using riser cables, and games are inly able to currently use 4 gpus at once
