No 10 bit option for Benq EX2780Q

I have a Benq EX2780Q monitor which according to its website supports 10 bit color, but going into nvidia control panel I do not see 10 bit option, only 8 bit. I tried it with HDR enabled and disabled, but in both cases the only option available in nvidia control panel is 8 bit.

One difference I am seeing is that with HDR disabled, going to (Right click on desktop) > Display settings > Advanced display settings shows bit depth as 8-bit while with HDR enabled it shows "8-bit with dithering". Is this monitor not capable of true 10 bit? I am using the included HDMI cable currently but I have ordered a DP1.4 cable because that allows G-sync, will that make a difference? GPU - RTX2070 Super.

So once my DP cable arrives I should be able to use 10 bit at 1440p 144Hz? In that case it is kinda cheap on Benq's part to not include a cable that can fully use all the capabilities of the monitor.

You need a DP 1.4 cable so you can get 10 bit color.
