Need help for ram compatibility

I just bought the 8x2 xpg gammix 3000 mhz, I tried one stick it wouldnt boot, the other nothing either. I tried my old g skill ripjawz 4x2 2400 mhz now it works, using a b350m mortar and a 3600, using beta bios from msi. I need help because I cant refund this ram due to health and safety purposes in canada

clear the cmos. 

reseat the cpu and try both sticks in slot 2 and 4. 

also try mix and matching the ram and if every combination with the new kit did not work, could be a dead kit.

I did clear cmos and I dont think its the cpu
