Hi,

I recently built a new PC and all was well for about a month, now I've been getting the following issues over the last week, in this order:

1. BIOS suddenly reset itself to default.
2. BSOD with PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error
3. BSOD with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error (had two of these now)

I've also noticed it takes a lot longer to post than it did, booting and restarts have a black screen for about 15 seconds before the Aorus logo even shows, then that stays for a while before Windows starts, and Windows itself seems slower too. Before that it was very quick. Here's what I have, and thanks:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB WINDFORCE OC 3X

EVGA 1000W PSU
Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit

probably a ram problem try a different krt

I swapped out the RAM, problem persists. I do wonder if the sudden BIOS reset is to blame, although not all settings reset to default. I only changed three things  in the BIOS; RAM profile,  disabled hot swapping because all of my internal drives were showing as removable, and set the fan profile. Only the first two things were reset, the fan profile stayed. Why would a BIOS partially reset to defaults?

1. BIOS suddenly reset itself to default.  <---- Check Bios Battery
2. BSOD with PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error  <---- Could be cause due to the below error relating to Ram
3. BSOD with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error (had two of these now)  <---- Bad Ram ?

Also note that if you keep using a system with bad ram the disk will start to corrupt also
