No internet

So i just finished building my new pc and it boots fine and all but i dont have internet connection

Its 10600k in a vision g motherboard

Can it be because of the bios time?

Its off by 5 houra

Is i set it to normal will it fix the no connection problem?

The cable is fine i just used it 5 hours ago with my old pc and nobody touched it

Set the time correctly because it being wrong will cause other problems.

 

Go to your motherboard's support page and download all chipset and network drivers and install them.

What OS did you install? The Vision D has Intel NIC/WiFi, Windows 10 should have the drivers for that.

Are the Network Adapters in the Device Manager shown correctly/working?

 

Time settings are irrelevant (they will correct themselves when you got internet).

You may need to set a static IP address on your new PC depending  on how your network is set up. It doesnt have anything to do with the BIOS time.

Should i use the cd that came woth the mb?

I was hoping the internet would work so i could just go to gigabayes site and install everything cause the cd might be out dated...

The board is quiet new, so the drivers on the CD should work fine. If you have a optical drive, yes, install them.

Install the drivers on the CD so that you can go to the support page and replace them with the latest versions.

So i just toss it in while the pc is running?

Yes. I didn't have to do that for years, I guess... If you're lucky it automatically starts a program to guide you through the process...

What can i do if the optical drive is dead???
