FANS do not Spin

Hello

I bought new board and installed all components but forgot to plug the power cable to the cpu. I did not know I have to do it

Figured it out that my board is working with lights on but graphic card fans dont spin. Lost cpu power cable somwhere and ordered new one so Im waiting for it.

MY CONCERN is why GPU fans dont spin? I connected PCIE to it so it should freakin spin.

 

Is it possible I damaged the gpu or full board? 

I hope when cpu power cable arrives everything will be fine.

Maybe somebody did can give some advice?

A lot of GPUs now have 0 RPM modes where they only spin when it's hot enough.

true but they should spin up when booting then go to zero.

what gpu do you have and are you able to take a pic of your system?

My GPU is sapphire 8gb 550xt 4 gen.

so a few things. some is general build related concerns, some are directly related to your issue, or a combination of both.

What motherboard is it?

what cpu is installed?

why is the gpu not in the top slot?

why is the cooler not orientated the other way?

when you turn on your system do the fans spin and then they don't or not all?

where are you plugging in your monitor? (to the gpu or the motherboard?

radiator you can mount two ways but for this mother it fits only this way (too wide) because of vrms.

GPU is not in the top slot because i thought pcie is damaged. When i turn the power on fans for the cpu cooler spins.

My PSU Corsair RM 650 - lost frickin cable couple years ago because old mb had molex cpu power.

Waiting for the cable to arrive today.

Where you plugging in your monitor?

And do you get a display?

i plug it to the gpu and have no signal at all in any port

Connected old gpu nvidia but its the same no signal.

Should it be? When cpu have no power?

Connected to other old display as well (FHD)

So if old gpu is working on old mb and on this not, mb might be damaged. Can I connect this new GPU to the old mb? To check if its ok?

So you mean postcode nr? No there is 00. I connect old mb and check new Gpu now.

Cable arrived and is connected. Everything works fine now. Installing win 10.

So much hassle but it works. Thanks for help.
