So, i definitely have NO idea about wireless networking, but i am looking for a better router than the one that i have at the moment.

And because i have no clue about choosing the right one i wanted your guys help. Our house is quite small but currently i have a single antenna router and it is not enough, so is it true that more antennas = more range? Also we don't have any wireless AC devices but should i just get one for future-proofing? And finally it would be awesome if i can have a good UI so its easy to manage it because currently i have a Belkin router and the UI is terrible.

Any brand recommendation? I will be buying on chile and on an specific store so this are the options:

Also the myDlink app looks pretty awesome, do other brands offer something similar?

If you want a DSL modem built in go with an Asus DSL-N55U or DSL-N66U, or if you don't need DSL the RT-N55U or RT-N66U (N66 has 900Mb wireless, and Gigabit Wired the N55 has 600Mb wireless and Gigabit Lan. Range is excellent. Best Router I've come across, I tend to go through routers multiple times a year. So far with my N55U I'm at 6 months with no problems. If you have no AC devices there is no need to go for the AC models.

More antenna's doesn't necessarily mean more range, But its generally a bit of a safe bet, you can get higher gain antenna for certain model Access points.

Range wise D-Link have a few cylindrical designed Wireless routers that excel with range. They have very powerful omnidirectional antenna's there high end ones get so hot they're actively cooled (fan in the bottom). Best range I've seen from a consumer grade wireless router.

Apps IMHO for a router are practically useless considering the amount of time you spend using it.
