h510i cam software issues

hi, i have already contacted nzxt to try and resolve my issue, but since that may take a while, maybe someone here has encountered a solve for this issue. my new case's rgb lights (the 2 strips preinstalled with the case) will work when the pc is booted, only if booted from psu off. once it boots into windows, and the nzxt software loads, the rgb will not work again untill the pc is shut down, psu reset, and turned on again, still turns off once software loads though... weird thing is one of the lighting profiles does work, the "nzxt spectrum wave" profile, but that is it.

 

things tried:

-reinstalled nzxt cam software

-tried two different windows 10 installs, on 2 different ssds

-triple checked all connections of the case, and tried a different usb header

-messed around with some bios settings(maybe i missed something??)

 

specs:

-3700x

-asus tuf gaming x570-plus (non-wifi)

-g.skillz trident neo 16gb(2x8) 3600mhz cl16

-h60 aio

-rog strix gtx 1070

-970 evo plus 500gb

-240gb sata ssd

-1tb 7200rpm seagate

-rm750

-nzxt h510i

 

any help, or suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

 

EDIT:

THE FIX: shut down pc, unplugged the led cable from the smart hub, checked the connection, used tweezers to fix one of the connections that was pushed out and bent from the factory, plugged back into led spot #2 instead. works fine now. maybe helps someone else.
