Im having bad issues with my mouse and laptop

I have a steel series sensei raw mouse and a razer blade 2015 full hd laptop. Over the last few months the mouse randomly stops working. It wont select another already open tab, clicking on the tab does nothing. Also it wont close any tabs by clicking x. This is not exclusive to chrome. It also happens with microsoft edge. I am able to minimise the browser sometimes but when I go to open the browser again by clicking the icon on the taskbar it wont select or open the browser.

Also in Device manager mice it shows 3 HID compliant mouse the first 2 seem to be the touchpad mouse which i disabled both because it was causing the mouse to start randomly clicking on its own the other is the steel series sensei mouse. I tired to remove all three and reinstall only the usb steel series sensei mouse by simply reconnecting the usb mouse but everytime i do that it reinstalls all 3. Also if I uninstall all 3 mice and restart my computer it reinstalls all 3 when I connect the usb mouse.

As of right now my main problem is that the mouse stops working at random times. And maybe 10 minutes later without doing anything it works fine for several hours or minutes and then it stops working all over again. I have also tried using another sensei mouse and a cheap mouse to see if it will work but the same issue. I also have steel series engine 3 which when i first installed it said there was a huge error with my mouse and it updated it. I thought it solved the problem but all the issues continued after a few minutes. At this point I dont know what to do. I dont have anyone who I can ask for help. Im basically navigating using my keyboard which is very annoying. I would really appreciate help from anyone that is a techie. Or if you can point me to any tech company who can resolve this for me? I am from Canada and am willing to take this into a tech store if they can fix it

So you disabled your track pad because it had button issues and now you’re having button issues with the mouse you’re using as a workaround, is this correct?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

the main issue is that device manager shows 3 HID mice and I think this is some how causing conflict with the function of the usb mouse where the drivers are conflicting or something like that causing the usb mouse to randomly stop working i tired my best to explain all the details im not sure i can do much better

The reason you gave was you were experiencing problems with your mouse.  As to WHY you are experiencing problems with your mouse It might possibly be.  Removing the trackpad driver on a laptop is both likely a bad idea and won’t work though.

Looking at your description one thing that came to mind is the possibility you were simply banging the heck out of the mouse buttons and wearing them out.  If that is the case a different mouse will work fine.

my track pad was disabled for many years because I never used it and it would accidentally get clicked the issue I have now has only recently been happening

Ah.  So the trackpad buttons were not banged to death.  That takes broken button switches off the table. Or at least less on the table.  The mouse apparently still tracks fine it merely doesn’t consistently register clicks.  Have you tried a different mouse?  Have you tried that mouse on another computer to see if the problem repeats there or not?

while the issue was occurring yes i disconnected the usb mouse and used another and still had all the issues. the usb mouse randomly works fine and then suddenly stops. i mentioned the device manager because i think the extra 3 HID  compliant mice is causing the problem i think all the mice drivers need to be uninstalled manually and then re installed but i think having multiple mice in the device manager may be the issue

i dont know if buying a new mouse is a solution

So not a button issue then. 1 down.  This mouse uses the generic hid mouse driver.  The trackpad is always plugged in and apparently uses it too, so there will always be those two systems on the laptop unless you opened the thing and physically unplugged them which could cause other problems because the thing was designed to have them plugged in and may do weird things if they aren’t.  Next thing is change.  It apparently worked for a while and then started suddenly having problems (one reason I liked broken mouse button) what changed?  A new driver for something else? A new bios? An update of something?
