Gaming Pc Advice

Hello I am looking to build my first ever gaming/streaming PC. I thought about going all out to treat myself but i keep hearing bad news about Intel. I mainly know Intel and not much about AMD.
The parts I had picked out originally.. 
Graphic card-MSI 2080 RTX Super
Power supply- Corsair RM650 or 750

Mother Board- MSI MPG Z490 
Processor-Intel Core i9-10900K

Ram-  DDR4 32GB 3200MHz

Internal Hard drive Samsung 970 EVO

 

I am a bit worried in messing up, or getting the wrong parts or something. I am very new to building my own but its something i am excited to do and learn about, i been doing as much research as i can but don't quite understand some tech stuff.

if you are only gaming, get a 10600k, it will be good enough. and if you want you can upgrade down the line, but the 10600k will do just fine.

and the most ideal thing is to wait for zen 3 and ampere and big navi if you can wait.

what is your budget for this build? where are you building?

 

if you are going to get something this high end, would strongly suggest waiting for the new zen 3 and nvidia ampere.

Thank you. I'm not planning to order all my parts until about the middle of September. My Budget is about 3k. I only know a little bit about AMD, just mainly how its better price and processor over Intel but thats as far as my knowledge goes on AMD Ryzen.

Go AMD, and wait for the 4000 series desktop CPUs - they are going to be fantastic. It may also push down the prices of 3000 series, making those even better value than they already are.

Ah okay I will remember that. Well See I was hoping to have a Pc built in time for a few games coming out this year. Cyberpunk 2077 is one that high up on my list. I'll keep an eye out on AMD and the 4000 series. I heard a possibility that it may come out in september.

For gaming? Honestly the 10600k is just simply the best option. Also 8 cores for gaming is useless..

My personale experience says no. :I (FX-4300 worse at gaming than both FX-6300 & FX-8300)

Athlon X4 880K same thing, but faster! Even that lost to my 8-core overall...

yes, but isn't that due to the fact that the higher tier chips were better binned, and achieved greater clocks? I'm not too certain about that, as I just went with the 2600, after seeing how disappointing bulldozer was

Buldozer (100, 10% worse and even worse than Phenom II) -> Steamroller (300 series) -> steamroller (10% better IPC and fm2+ only) -> excavator (10% better again, fm2+ and am4) So yeah the FX I had was a generation behind and still beat the Athlon X4 which is same as A10 APU without iGPU...
