OBS Framerate issues

Hi

so when i record games with OBS, everything is fine.

however when i record game with Livesplit, for some reason i encounter huge framerate drops in the recording (in game still does 60fps, but the recording is like 15 fps)

how can i fix this?

(Just in case it helps:

Gtx 1070, and the game i'm running is Hitman Contracts 4K Max graphic settings)

Do you see OBS dropping frames? CPU and CPU usage? Also your recording settings and where you record to (SSD or HDD).

by "OBS dropping frames" what do you mean?

CPU is an e5-1620v2

i don't remember the exact number but cpu usage is around 1-4% while the game isn't running (but steam+chrome is)

The counter at bottom right corner. Choppy video could be because of it. What are your recording settings? I have no experience of LiveSplit, but is it writing constantly to some file?

i am not sure if it's constantly writing a file, but i assume it does since the application tracks time
