Other details Hi everyone, so I made some progress on computer build, I purchased a Corsair Carbide 678C in white low noise case and will receive it soon and now I'm wanting to get the power supply. What is the recommended graphics card that is not very loud when under load and 8gb in graphics memory? What PSU is reliable and how much wattage would I need to power a amd ryzen 7 3700x? I'm also looking at buying the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Master ATX mobo. I would like to have the system ram to have either 16 or 32gb and atleast 1 SSD no hard drives. I'm going for a quiet system which means no liquid cooling, and what type of 140mm fans should i look for to put into a quiet system even under load? This is going in a small bedroom,  my ears are sensitive to loud noises. Thanks for helping. Also what type of CPU cooler would be compatible with the case I bought and keep it quiet, not expecting to be perfectly silent just very low noise. Thanks again everyone.

Well, the mobo might not be the best choice (at least for the 279.99$ in PCpartPicker), for that price I would consider a X570 mobo, but as it has an extra fan, I would just go for a lower B550 mobo like the B550 tomahawk. For the cooler, I would go for a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, as it is very quiet while being a great cooler. The GPU is, while idling, silent as the fans are off, during games they will produce some noise, but there is no way around it. I would consider some 140mm be quiet pure wings 2.

ok thank you for taking time to pick the parts. What do you think about the corsair rm850x power supply as an option? I just want a PSU thats going to be reliable and fairly quiet even under load. @filiboss123

Noctua cooler and fans if you care about low noise. Be Quiet is a good runner up, but they still don't beat Noctua, in both noise and cooling performance. I will say Be Quiet has a larger line of good looking products. The Noctua chromax.black line is sick, but not all of their products are available in that line.

 

The key to quiet, regardless, is low fan speeds. The lower you can spin the fans and still cool everything, the more quiet your system will be. That means 1) having a case with good air flow and 2) having powerful fans that push a ton of air. Ironically, "quiet" cases work against you on the first point, as the materials used to silence the case generally also restrict air flow. It might be a little bit of a trade off there, i.e. you actually end up with more fan noise, but hopefully not so much that it overwhelms the noise dampening.

Despite being more expensive, it is a good choice!

I agree, Noctua does great cooler ehich are in fact very quiet, but even in the cromax lineup, they are a bit less appealing in what comes to the look. I think the dark rock pro 4 is the best choice, quiet, efficient, and good looking (after all, you will live with it for several years with it beside you).

The choice is yours, the difference is marginal!

@Nena Trinity that buid does not correspond to his budget... and you have not read his requirements. He said that he already had a case, wanted no HDD, and wanted a quiet desktop (something that both the hdd and the stock cpu cooler are bad at!). Next time check what the person wants, do not give them a generic build!

Ok, now it is better, however you still have worse RAM, Cooler and MOBO. All that for an 2Tb ssd... (something that can easily added later...)

You still did not take notice of the fact that @woody30 already has a case.

I actually really like the look of the chromax.black line, especially when you pair it with the additional accessories. Granted, that adds to the cost, but damn if it doesn't look good in my black and white (mostly) build with the white vibration pads and white cooler cover.

I admit that looks good! I just think it is not worth it personally! They are both a great choice. And I must say, nice build!

I said it once and I will say it again. The storage is easily upgraded!!

My build has a better mobo (much more recent and way better looking) and a way better cooler that is way more efficient and much quieter, not to mention the RAM, that is 3200MHz intead of 3600MHz and has no heatsink what so ever!

Storage is not to expensive and it is one of the easiest components to add to a build!!!

He can get around with 500Gb for a while, as soon as he manages to buy another SSD, it is easy to install!! Just plug and play!

Furthermore my build has an NVME SSD that is way faster than Sata SSD's!

@filiboss123 I've decided to go with your motherboard that you've chosen me, but have a question about the CPU. I noticed there is a difference in TDP for the same model. One says 65W TDP and the other says 105W TDP for the Ryzen 7 3700x, which one do I need to get? Thanks again for helping. @Linus

If I am not mistaken the ryzen 7 3700X is a 65W CPU, as the 3800x is the one that has 105W TDP.

Depending on the price it might not be worth the upgrade... I would say that if the difference is more than 50$, it is not worth it. 

Then there is the fact that the TDP increase may cause a need to upgrade your psu, further increasing tge price of your build.
