I have seen a tot of ads for dbrand. I decided to try them myself. I have a skin applied on my phone and a dbrand grip case. Today I wanted to remove my case. Apparently you can’t do that because your skin will peel off. Let’s say that is ok. I had my grip case for a month. As you can see in the video the rubber is already falling off from the case. I didn’t put in in the water or something like that. Maybe it is just mine. I want to know if you also have this problem. I am pretty sure Linus would not agree to sponsor them if this is a wide issue.

Have had a dbrand skin on my Dell XP 15 from day 3 after purchasing in August 2017 - no issues what-so-ever. And that's after fighting for around 3-4 hours to install it without any overlap over the edges of the laptop body. Laptop has mostly been sitting at home over the last year or so, but prior to that it went in/out of a shoulder bag and backpack daily for about 2 years.

Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, 5060 Ti) Mobile: Moto Razr 50 Ultra (Razr+ 2024) | 30GB CAN+US+MEX $30/month
Laptop: Lenovo Yoga 7i (16") 82UF0015US (i7-12700H, 16GB/2TB RAM/SSD, A370M GPU) Tablet: Lenovo Tab Plus (256GB)
Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

I had to remove the trackpad skin because it just destroyed the feel of it competently and messed up the multi touch thingys.

I always wondered how the fuck they could skin the trackpack while getting it to work properly. I guess you provided the answer: they can't.

Would agree. The stuff on the back of my Blade Stealth 2016 around the logo peeled off from just it rubbing in my bag. I had to remove the trackpad skin because it just destroyed the feel of it competently and messed up the multi touch thingys.

i've had dbrand on my last 3 phones, skin peels off usually after 1 & 1/2 year. Also it doesn't like heat at all. If you ever have it burn in your pocket from sun and remove the phone from your pocket while touching edge of the skin it will peel itself.

I still love them, and everytime that happen I just used an hair dryer and it went back to it's previous form without any issue.

Also i live in kinda cold country so it doesn't happen often :)
