DT 770 pro 80 ohm. Try to squeeze in a modmic uni into the budget if you can.

If not possible. Then buy another pair of the HyperX cloud headset if you liked them.

PM/DM me if you have any questions about audio.

I can see that is a studio headset, would it be good for gaming?

Let's talk about audio. There is no such thing as good for gaming depending on what brand it is or what it is used for. Every headphone has it's own pros and cons. Now the typical "gaming" headsets you are used to are marketed as gaming headsets because they all got 2 things I know in common. 1. RGB. 2. Virtual surround. This is just a marketing trick. They focus on the wrong thing making these headsets. They focus on looks over quality. Also the mic on headsets you get is kinda trash.

These headphones are purely stereo with no USB cable or anything. These headphones got really good imaging and a pretty good soundstage for being closed back headphones.

You can look further into what imaging and soundstage means.

Anyways. Just get a good pair of what you call studio (which they are but I wouldn't necisseraly call them that since they are good for different things) headphones and put on a modmic uni on it. The perfect pair of "headset" for a gamer and people who likes to listen to music.

Before I had the Logitech G633 headset. I thought that sounded really good but when I got my 990 pros with my onboard motherboard amp/dac I thought they sounded the best. But a thing that hid from me was that I needed a better amp/dac to get those headphones to show themselves fully. Now this doesn't really matter for the DT 770 pros since they are easier to drive because they are only 80ohm headphones compared to 250ohm. Don't forget to buy the 80ohm if you are actually going to buy them...

I already had a seperate mic with my G633 but you getting the DT 770's with a modmic uni will be one hell of an upgrade I think. Your discord friends will appreciate you. That is if you use discord.

Some people might disagree and recommend a different pair but I just recommend this since many gamers get this as a solution instead of a "gaming" headset.

So the DT 770s would not need an amp/dac?

What are the differences between the AntLion 4, 5 and uni?

DT 770 pro come in 3 different models. 250, 80 and 32. Now the 32 are a bit bad imo. To clear things up and explain in a simple way. The more ohm the headphone has the harder it is to drive them. The 80ohm is an all rounder I would say. So it works for mobile phones desktops and amps. Not saying it wouldn't benefit from an amp but they work.

Also for the modmics. The uni is a bit less expensive as the 5. But the extra isn't really worth it. Just go for the uni.

Not bad but could be better. Just below my onboard dac/amp. But it will work fine.
