Hi guys

I'm trying to make an automation using Macro Express to open up Teams chat to a specific user and send in a chat with a premade message like "I'm contacting you regarding your issue etc etc" using the IM: URL Protocol.

I got it to work but I don't know what parameters I need to use to have a message be set.

What I'm doing in Macro Express is I'm setting a program launch and then the program/path name is set to "im:user_email@something.com". But if I set it up like cisco jabber like "im:user_email@something.com;?message;body=test;" it doesn't work.

Any help is much appreciated!

I don't know anything about "IM:" but I've always used mailto: & that's the only way I've ever seen it done before. I personally wouldn't implement it this way either but you're better informed of the constraints you're working with so I'll assume there's a reason for it.

There's probably a connector app that does this type of thing btw

You'll probably have better luck on the Microsoft Teams forum.

You might also check to see if there are any command line options used to autostart Teams with predefined settings.
