Android TV, can't update?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071HG3GS2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1 got that in 2018, the update app. won't update. It still has what it came with. My dad found a step by step, by a USB stick, no go & we are lost. Netflix & Starz don't work right any ideas.

This is the downside to these off-brand boxes. I suspect it is no longer supported.

We bought it in 2018, that is a big thing I like about Apple stuff, if Apple does a update, Apple stuff gets updated.
