Hi all, I am new here and am looking for some help in choosing components for a new PC. I will be gaming and some very light Photoshop work for school. I am 16 and earn about £50 a week that is going into a savings pot for a PC.

I will be playing racing games mostly as well as some Batman Arkham. Crisis 3 and Tomb Raider.

I have a budget of £450 (UK)

My only requirement is tat it is fairly small.

Thank you for your input on this subject.

Check this out, it's right around your budget and gets some killer performance for the price! Also it's tiny.

Got you a hexicore FX-6300, GTX 760, 2TB storage, 8GB of RAM, and a good PSU. Does not include OS but since you are a student it shouldn't be too difficult getting an OS.

Will the 750ti play those titles at 1600*900?

I imagine so. It performs quite well for the power used. But since you have a sustainable income I would still recommend you save up. What you could do is do an APU build and buy a GPU later. It is an option to consider although all of the builds mentioned here would do what you want them to.

Yeah, the 750 ti should play things at that resolution with playable framerates.

With the money saved he/she could get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, much better than the stock cooler. I don't know many cases so...

you selected an atx case, you could have gone with an Matx case like the core 1000, or the n200

I don't really like the Core 1000s design, the n200 is better.

well picked, i also like the n200 over the core 1000, but most people pick the core 1000, for reasons unknown to me
