Hello, need some help to pick a new GPU.

Currently my PC configuration looks like this:

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770

GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280

MOBO: Asus Vanguard b85

RAM: Gskill 16GB

SSD: Samsung 860 evo

PSU: TT TP 650 80+ Gold

For last few days my gpu isn't working properly. (Like after 5/6 FIFA games online, the display get nuts, no output) I can't understand whether it's a hardware problem or driver.

In this situation I hope its a driver problem. If not then please suggest me a good value GPU without changing any other components.

My choices are: RTX 1660 or Radeon 5500xt

Keep in mind that I am a 1080p gamer.

Please Suggest me the most compatible one. If you think a there is a better GPU other than this two which will be compatible to my current system please suggest.

Thanks in advance.

I would consider a 580

It's relatively close to a 5500xt ( if not it's the same performance )

Only problem with it , is that it consumes more power. And tends to run hotter.

Or even a 1650 super which as I said

Is practically a 1660 with a smaller frame buffer.

Thanks for your suggestions. I intended to run this configuration a year or two more. Hopefully this will serve me well.

you can wait for nvidia's 3000 series and maybe get a 3060 so you could have a strong gpu when you upgrade the cpu and other components down the line

if you need a gpu right now then a 1650 super will be a great choice
