pc on while off

my pc seems to think its on while i have it off, i usualy have it on for 7-8 hours then turn it off

It keeps counting in sleep mode.

Disable fast startup and hibernation if you don't want that.

Worry when it does, you cant live your life worrying about things that might happen.

Windows 10 doesn't actually shut down when you hit "shut down". It goes into a very deep sleep.

 

It's normal, and doesn't harm anything. This helps Windows 10 boot up much faster.

Sleep isn't off. In fact, the computer has to be very much on because it needs to keep supplying power to the RAM to keep the data in there. It just turns off other things like drives, networking, etc.
