M.2 question

So my pc came with a stock Toshiba m.2 NVMe ssd that is B+M, I also bought a new m.2 ssd and noticed it was just an M could that be a reason my pc won't boot with that one in. 

 

I've been looking around the internet for a m.2 B+M that isn't SATA and I can't seem to find one

b and m is either pcie x2 or sata, what drive do you have? What laptop?

I looked on the m.2 drive and it says its an NVMe and has 2 instead of 1 and im totally confused on why
