Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Vs Gelid GC extreme for laptop

I have a Helios 300 PH315-52 which has CPU overheating issues. I got it cleaned and pasted by Arctic MX-4 under warranty. It is much better now but the problem is not completely solved and CPU throttling is still an issue in Turbo mode. I have decided to repaste it myself with a premium non-conductive thermal paste
I'm confused between the Kryonaut and the GC extreme. I'm actually not able to decide if the Kryonaut is worth the price. For the GC extreme I pay 5.5$ for 2g. Coming to the kryonaut, its 4.5$ only for 1g and the 5.5g tube costs 22$. I wanted to know how often will I have to repaste my laptop if my CPU temps are constantly around 90C while playing modern games? Is it fine if only repaste the CPU often? Is it necessary to repaste the GPU as well when I open the heatsink assembly? Also, I assume laptops don't need as much paste as desktops. Does that mean buying a tube having more than 1g of paste will be a bad idea and that it will expire in my shelf even before I use it completely? I live in a place where room temperature can be more than 35C during summers. I'd really appreciate your opinions because I'm very confused right now.

I'm open to suggestions about other thermal pastes :-)

This likely will not make a big difference since the laptop was already re-pasted with a pretty high-end thermal compound. I'd guess 1-2C maybe. And for a liquid metal would guess 5-10C.

AFAIK this is pretty normal for laptop CPUs. They operate at the limits of their thermals on purpose. It boosts to as high a freq as possible within thermal limits.

Probably, especially since you won't really have to re-paste again before the laptop dies. Although it takes a very long time for thermal compound to "expire".

This is the real issue. If your room was 25C, then the CPU would also be 10C cooler and/or run at a higher frequency.

Thermalright TF8 is better than Kryonaut, and so is Thermalright TFX.

Yes. But I suspect that they might not have pasted it properly. So I will do do a repaste myself with a premium paste for peace of mind at least.

Yes. I wanted to which paste among the two will last longer on my laptop (before it dries or breaks down thermally and becomes inefficient) at high temps like 90+C? I have heard Kryonaut breaks down and dries quickly once temperature exceeds 80C. I wanted to know if that is true.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked out both them. According to amazon reviews, they're good but they dry out very quickly ;_; Repasting laptop is a pain and I don't want to be doing it often. Have you used them personally?

I assume laptops need less paste than desktops. Do you have any idea how many CPU+ GPU applications will be able to do with 1g of paste?

A lot. You won't need more for a while.

If it dries out quick, usually means not enough was on in the first place. Be careful with reviews, lots of noobs out there.

Alright. I will go for the Kryonaut then :-) Thanks for the help. I don't feel skeptical about buying the kryonaut now.
