Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a good value laptop to replace the old pieces of e-waste my parents are currently running. For the specs i want at least 4 cores, 8GB RAM and >500 GB of SSD storage and SD-card reader. Budget is ~500€ (Germany). If possible the screen shouldn't be terrible. I have no idea about laptops and their market so any reccomendations or tips are needed.

Thanks!

new maybe some form of a probook 445G7/455G7 with an r5. I'd order with a HDD and low ram as both are socketed with an m.2 and 2.5in options for drives

The new Renoir APUs are excellent. Have a look at this one. I can't find German pricing, but hopefully it's available in your region

Plenty of power for your parents, and you get type c charging, an SD card slot, and you can configure it with more storage. If you want a slightly better screen I would stay away from the 250nit TN option.
