Hey everyone
I finally got around to building my first PC and I'm having some problems. When it boots to windows, it will stay on for about a minute or two and then it will shut off without any warning. The q code shown on the motherboard is 00. All of the fans stay lighting but the USB power turns off. Also when this happens I can't power the machine off with the power button you have to do it from the PSU. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

FIrst thing to do is Clear the cmos. Should be a button on the back I/O panel. Hold that for a good 20 seconds.

Then try and post the board again.

Code 00 is nothing and not used, the board has hung.

You can also try and flash the bios if the original is only 702.

Which you can go here to DL the latest bios. Your manual will also have instructions for this.

Hope this helps!

Hey, thanks for the fast reply it's much appreciated! I've tried clearing CMOS multiple times and still no luck. I also updated the BIOS to the latest version and it's still shutting down. When it shuts down, the fans spin up faster for some reason.

Process of elimination.

Try a different PSU (borrow someones 500w or up)

Test the Cpu in another rig

Try a single stick of memory in slot A1.

Be sure 2x dimms are in slots A2 and B2

So on and So forth.
