How to play downloaded 4k videos on TV

I recently got a ru7100 Samsung 4k TV聽and I tried to play some downloaded 2160p content through a flash drive but it didnt show . I read on another forum that it should be converted to a supported codec ,but the codec of the video is in the supported codec list of the TVs specs. any solution to this ?馃檹

First thing I would do is confirm that it is indeed in a format that the TV can play (and not a container like mkv with an unsupported video or audio codec). Second make sure the Flash drive is in a format the TV Can read (Ntfs Fat32 exfat etc) I didn't look up the tv so I don't know what formats it can read.
