hi so i am powering a car subwoofer in my room and i am using my motherboard subwoofer output to power it and i heard that it can damage the motherboard  if i use the subwoofer output to much and because i could be pushing it to its limits i wanted to know if that is true

the setup is going from the motherboard to a boss amp that then gives the subwoofer

the motherboard that i am using is a gigabyte b450m ds3h

As far as I know you'll be fine.
I ran car subs with my PC for years as a teenager, had dual 12' Fusion ones then moved to a 15' US Audio one, then cut out an old 10 inch velodyne home theatre sub and dropped in a 12' woofer I had laying around. Never had an issue. I used a cut up PC PSU to power the amp too. If that didn't kill me or my PC you should be fine so long as you respect the power connections.
