Budget (including currency): $700 or PHP 35,000

Country: Philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Solidwork, Blender, AutoCAD, MATLAB, and CSGO

Other details: I'm stuck between having a Ryzen 5 2600 and a GTX 1660 with it, or a Ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1650. Trying to avoid bottlenecking and at the same time going for what I consider the "ultimate" choices for parts that I can afford at the moment. Hi guys! It's my first time posting and building a pc of my own, I just wanted to know what you guys think. Cheers!

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

bottlenecking sites are bullshit. for your use cases, if you mostly use the pc as a workstations with only occasional light gaming (csgo), i would go for the better cpu (3600) with a slower gpu. the 1650 is not generally a good deal. aim for 1650 super, rx5500xt or a good old rx580.

I would also avoid that asus motherboard, do you have any other options? asus' b450 line-up is pretty bad, i'd recommend msi or asrock instead for b450

I do actually but, was really looking forward having the PCIE 4.0 update just in case.

the prime-a can handle a ryzen 3, but will struggle to power a ryzen 5 or 7. i don't recommend it. if you definitely must have the pcie 4, go for a b550 board.

I see 4 work programs and one game with opposite requirements.  Everything but the game wants 2600 and 1660 because 1660 has cuda whereas 1650 doesn’t.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Hi guys! So, this post has been here quite a while and I'm still on the hunt for the last part of my PC which is the GPU. I went with a 2600 (never OC'd tho) for the moment it was used from a friend, because PC parts have increased their prices and parts became really hard to find due to the demand for online classes here. So, with the workload I listed up top - still contemplated between a Palit 1650 super StormX OC GDDR6 4GB  or a Gigabyte RX570 GDDR5 8GB. Would really appreciate the replies! Cheers.
