Depend on the kind of game, from my understanding, if it's multiplayer you will be playing with people who also use a controller or on console if you use it. For everything else, it's probably doesn't have much of a different (if the game have controller mode implemented)

Mouse will feel great if you a first person game, it's a much more natural and ergonomic position. I am, in fact, on an opposite case, I use mouse and keyboard for everything, including a game natively design for controller and they are very usable. I could imagine that vise versa is also true.

Why would you use a controller on PC though, why would using a mouse and keyboard worry you? No downsides.

I can't get used to moving with a keyboard so I use my ps3 controller on pc.  If you can get used to mouse and keyboard easily then just do it ... if it's too hard then just use your controller on pc ... besides not all games are better with mouse and keyboard.  I wouldn't see myself playing something like bayonetta with mouse and keyboard but I wouldn't play diablo or path of exile with controller.  For me it only depend of which game I play.

I haven't found a game I can't play with mouse and keyboard though. Games like Bayonetta easily really. I never had any issues with variety of types of games.

What do you mean impossible to use motion controls? Kinda have to try it more than just few minutes at friends.

Oh wow... not sure how old are you, but when I switched back and forth at some point, when I played on PC and some console, I just ended up using keyboard and mouse for any games that was on PC as well though. Last time I used a controller to play a game was like... so long ago.

You mentioned you're switching to PC which is nice, so comes naturally with keyboard and mouse too. Like there are number of games on PC that are mouse and keyboard only as well. Also shooter games which are better with it, like I've seen number of people switch to PC due to mouse and keyboard though.

Can depend from person to person, some get used to it fast some may take some time.
