Windows 10 Hello Face Login issue

Hi,

 

Has someone encountered an issue with Windows 10 Hello not working out of the box? I just purchased a Swift 3 laptop and it seems like Windows 10 Hello is not working. There are no specific drivers for the camera, only for the fingerprint sensor from Acer. Any help is appreciated as we are unable to return the device at the moment due to the pandemic. Thank you.

What does this say in sign-in option?

 

There are 2 types of Windows Hello, one for fingerprints and the other for facial recognition.

From the small amount of searching that I did, it doesn't seem like the laptop supports Windows Hello face, it only supports fingerprint.

does it actually have a windos hello suppoorted camera? the acer marketing page only talks about the fingerprint reader.

It says Fingerprint and Windows Hello on the device itself but that might be the same? Sorry, I could not find any articles online that has the same issue with this model or at least the swift lineup. The fingerprint reader did not work out of the box as well, I had to reinstall the driver.
