DT770 80ohms on MSI X370 GPC

Ezio1911

Hello,
I'm looking to buy the DT770's and I'm wondering would the in built DAC in MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon be enough to power the 80 ohm DT770's variant and if not what would be a decent but not too expensive amp that would be able to power these nicely?

If you need a decent amp that can even handle the 250ohm 770 which imo is the better sounding model the fx audio dac x6 is good. I do have a main motherboard as well and plugging in my 250 ohm 990 it got to a fairly ok listening level just about what I'd have it at if I'm chilling . But the sound was lacking in dynamics but that because the motherboard just can't handle the load.  But the 80 ohm should be ok on them I don't know if they would get loud though

It will be enough to power them but as rice guru said you might lose just a bit detail in the sound. Although it isn't that noticable on low impedance or medium impedance headphones.

PM or DM me if you have any questions about audio.
