Hi. I just discovered that my uclk fclk and xmp profiles were on stock and wrong. I was curioud why my cpu was underperforming. But even tho i know a decent bit of these settings. I would like to ask on this forum which settings i should use incase i make a mistake.

Cpu 3700x stock

Ram 3200mhz 2x8

Mobo b450m gaming plus

I assume i should put the dram frequency on 3200

The fclk on 1600 and not so sure about uclk. What setting would deliver best performance?

I would imagine those settings would be 'put right' by applying the XMP profile.

I don't think you should need to change them.  They may have been wrong, because your RAM was 2133, and therefore the AUTO feature was matching that.  Now you have changed your RAM to XMP profile to 3200, I expect the AUTO feature will adapt.

Let it do its thing.

Xmp was always on the right profile for 3200. But when i looked at fclk it said 300. I assume this setting should be 1600 or 3200 to match the memory speed?

Ok, but what you said originally was:  "my uclk fclk and xmp profiles were on stock and wrong."

So you got an answer based on that.

When you looked at FCLK did it give you an option for AUTO? Or was it always an option for a number or a number? I don't recognise the bios, not one I have used, so unsure as to what options you are given.

I only posit this because I have never had to change either.

Im sorry i should not have put xmp in there. My bad.

The fclk does not say auto. It gives me numbers.

Might be worth you having a read of the link below.

While I do believe that the FCLK should be 1/2 the speed of your memory for a 1:1 ratio, it is worth reading the link because it does talk about the BCLK and I can't see your settings there, and they may need tweaking as well if the FCLK was off.

I guess i should benchmark a few combinations and use the one which delivers best performance?
