So i decided to make an ram upgrade at my rig

Right now im using an gskill 1x16gb 2400mhz ram with cl17 latency

should i buy 2x8gb with better mhz like 3000/3200 and latency cl16

or should i go another 1x16 and do 2x16 with 2400mhz and cl17 latency

Thanks for the help !

All of these configs will result in 3 sticks which means it will most likely result in single channel

Unless your planning on replacing the current stick

What cpu ?

Go for the 2x8 gig kit

16 gigs is enough for 99% of the tasks

Plus you will benefit alot more with higher frequency
