Windows 10 lock screen default issues

Simple Hobbyist

Hello everyone! I was trying to change my background as I usually do and instead ended up changing the lock screen on accident. I don't have a windows license so I can't "personalize" my settings and I enjoyed having my lock screen change to some unknown landmark with the internet explorer link after logging in.

Is there a way I can restore defaults without buying the license? I really liked this feature and would hate to have to pay $140 for a simple feature. I'm also in the middle of upgrading and testing a bunch of my parts and don't want to buy the license right now. Thank you for taking your time to read this and I hope you have a great day!

so you have a machine with a R5 3600, 1660ti and potentially 32GB of ram yet you didn't budget for your OS?

i'm so sick and tired of these posts. just buy Windows or if you want something for free install Linux.

don't deny it btw, i know for a fact you have a modern computer.

You can buy a license for $40 from reddit microsoft software swap.

Also, unless you change your motherboard it doesn't matter what hardware you swap, windows will stay activated.
