Need help with first boot in 2 months.

I’ve reset the cmos reseated the GPU and RAM but nothing is working and my motherboards boot lights are on for boot and vga. I have a x570 tuf gaming, evga 1660 super, ballistix 16gb 3200, and Ryzen 5 3600. Plz help.

Is your display cable plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard?

 

Is the monitor plugged in, on, and set to the correct input?

Yes gpu is on display port to my monitor and it if for sure powered.

There isn’t a button but I shorted the pins on my motherboard.

For good measure, try removing the motherboard battery and leaving it removed for several minutes. You can also try shorting the exposed battery terminals.

 

Other simpler things to try:

 

• A different display cable
• A different monitor
• punching your monitor*
• Make certain all of your power cables are properly plugged in.
  • CPU/GPU etc.

Some more complicated things:

• A different GPU.
• Unplug all unnecessary devices for POST. remove all HDDs, network cards etc.
• Removing all but 1 stick of RAM, try it in different slots, then do the same with the other stick.

 

*Not recommended, but we've all been there.

Sry for not seeing this earlier but the mobo battery helped.
