Building pc now, desk is on carpet, what do i do with no antistatic band

Hello im building my pc rn after someone answers this question, my desk is on carpet (i cant remove the carpet because the floor is carpet) and i dont have an anti static wrist strap, should i build on another surface that isnt on carpet and setup my pc on my desk when i am done building, plz reply soon

Just build it. If you feel the need, plug the PSU in to a grounded outlet in and touch the case of it occasionally

take out your psu and plug it into the mains and just set it on the desk time to time touch its surface so you would get all of the static energy out into grounding. the psu is grounded. No need to turn the psu on
