The worst thing about this phone is no headphone jack.  I’ll deal though.  I can handle Bluetooth.  What irritates me in this case is battery power.  I doubt I’m going to get everything I want but I’ll list my desires and my don’t cares and see what is possible

Desire:

usb or wall power.

I want to be able to plug it in and not worry about it.  I don’t need portability

either no battery or replacable rechargeable

(I can do all kinds of replacable batteries.  I’ve actually got both 18650 and 25700s on hand.  I got a charger that can do any size or chemistry though)

Stupidity and simplicity.

Not interested in anything “smart” The more bare bones the better.  I want it to make noise and that is all.  It doesn’t even have to be good noise

Low price.

im a cheap bastard.

Dont care:

Sound quality.

its for watching movies and listening to talk radio. Plus my hearing kinda sucks. Even mono is actually fine

Size.

its going to sit in one place and not move

portability.

Its going to be used in just one place at home.

Anyone know of anything out there?  I don’t mind something off brand or China channel for something simple like this.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Budget? You can get a Bluetooth one and plug it into the wall?

Didn’t know enough about the subject to be able to set one.  Was looking about on amazon.  There’s a ~$20 one that might do the trick.  It had a black version that was just under $25 and I thought “I’ll pay another $5 to not look at the red or pink” so maybe $25?  I could pay more if I needed to I guess.  It’s just because I’m having trouble hearing my phone over the air con. (It some loud air con)

You should get a single board amplifier/bluetooth combo like the TDA7492P (and many other similar options) then just connect up some old bookshelf speakers.
Almost guarantee it will sound better than 90% of budget bluetooth speakers.
