If you're spending that amount of Money you'll be better off with an LG 27GL850-B anyway. Just saying.

The Gigabyte has better brightness, contrast, 165hz and has only slightly higher pixel response time.

For OP, the monitor goes for roughly 500-550€.

I think my choice will be highly dependant of the black Friday 2020 (b.f. 2019 LG was cheaper)

If you want something bit cheaper, check the price for these two.

The LG seems to have pretty inflated price (it's supposed to be cheaper than 850), but pixio seems to be still rather affordable. You just can't find Pixio in every country.

Do you know the difference of display port 1.2 vs 1.4 cause that's something LG has but aurous doesn't

To be honest, most of it is too technical for me, but it shouldn't affect your day to day usage.

At 1440p 144Hz they won't behave different. DP 1.4 allows the refresh rate to go to 240Hz but for that you'd need a new monitor anyways and these will have DP 1.4. So don't worry about the DP standard.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I hope it can combine that so with 10-bit cuz that is even more data to transfer

Most monitors are only 8bit + FRC to achieve 10bit anyway, so don't worry about the bandwidth. True 10bit panels tend to be much more expensive and are built into professional monitors. Still I'd recommend the LG 27GL850-B over the Gigabyte one. While the contrast is "bad", no IPS panel on the market actually has good contrast and i dont think you'll notice the difference from about 700:1 to 1000:1. For good contrast you really need another display type. It still is the most recommended "Best overall Monitor" for good reason. The colors and pixel response time are just phenomenally good.

I really appreciate the help on that topic, I saw many people talking for the LG. In the end of the day I won't use it to create the next marvel movie, I believe that after a point, differences are indistinguishable by the average user, and both will be great for me.

Now for the contrast, I have a VA and I don't like it. Contrast is good to be high, but come on it's not bad on either of those monitors

Both are good options for sure, and the differences are really nitpicking.

I have the 850 myself and only problem I've had with it is with the brightness, as I sit right on front of a window so it can be hard to see sometimes. Usually turning the brightness close to 100 fixes it.

I guess i'm just really sensitive to contrast. I moved straight from VA to OLED. It's important to me because i mostly play while it's dark and i absolutely love HDR. I have 2 friends which have the LG monitor and are very happy with their purchase even with the comparatively "bad" contrast because it shines in every other way.

How much you miss motion blur? Cause I was always on IPS and I didn't know that it is a thing. Now that I faced it all of a sudden,I can't tolerate it to the slightest.

I ve had an LG 1080 60htz IPS before, overall happy

Its a 1 :D

Motion blur is the 1 biggest issue that can really hold back a monitor. I dont even know why it's a option to enable in many games lol. But on my OLED TV and nice IPS displays like the LG one thats far less of an issue. OLED pixels switch in an instant so the bottleneck actully is the refresh rate when it comes to motion clarity. IPS has gone a long way too. With good VA-panels it's only an issue with dark scenes.
