Amd 13.4 Driver Audio Problem

Hi,

Just installed my R7970 & 13.4 WQHL Catalyst driver. The audio on the HDMI turns on & off. Audio is good through the Headphones, & sound card. 

 

System:

M5A78L-M PLUS Asus Motherboard

FX 8350 CPU

MSI R7970

Creative Sound Blaster Recon 3D Fatality Champion edition sound card

Corsair Vengeance  Memory 1600 MHz

Samsung 840 Pro 128 GB SSD

Toshiba 3TB HDD

 

Audio was working with my XFX HD 6870 900M 2 GB GPU & 13.1 driver. Tried both of my R7970s. Both of them did the same thing. Audio turned on & off at random on HDMI out to monitor.

 

Any suggestions?

Maybe its a driver issue. Did you removed the 13.1 driver before installing the new one? If not, search for "amd uninstall utility" run the exe, reboot and then install the new drivers. This utility will also remove your motherboard drivers because they are AMD software also, keep in mind that you will have to reinstall them also.

How are you doing..?..have you tried uninstalling all of your sound card audio support..then plug in and only use the HDMI, Did the HDMI audio fail..?
