Gaming rig advice

Hey, my rx480 recently blew so I've been planning to upgrade to a new rig,

My budgets fairly tight so I'm not going for looks but I want to be able to game at 1080p 144hz and on high settings.

 

This is what I've come up with:

The plan is to use the included amd cooler to save some cash but I'm not too sure whether it will be able to handle the temps, I could upgrade to the 212 black if need be - just need some advice /another perspective.

Would the b450 tomahawk be sufficient or would I greatly benefit from a X570 build?

Also, since I've never used a modular psu I'm confused as to what extra cables I will require that aren't included and where to get these from.

Swap the 2070s for a 5700xt - same performance for cheaper.

 

Swap the Samsung SSD for a P1/Sabrent Rocket, 1tb should be around thaht price.

looks good to me!

i think an x570 board would just improve compatibility with future cpu's but other than that I don't know.

A modular power supply will definitely have enought cables for your use case 

if you are going to stream, play ray-traced games or having the pc for a future game that has ray tracing, keep the 2070

2070 is good for ray tracing and streaming due to the new encoder

Yeah I was torn between the 5700xt and 2070s, so is ray tracing the only advantage that the 2070 gives?

I was actually thinking of streaming, as cliche as it sounds - gotta shoot your shot... so I might have to bite the bullet on the extra 100 and save money on the ssd like gloop mentioned

also the 2070 officially supports ray tracing while the amd card doesn't. While yes raytracing isnt widely supported at all, as Anthony stated, the games are coming.

yeah man, and I suppose the price difference isn't the absolute worst for a little bit of future proofing.

Don't buy it for ray tracing.

 

Do buy it for NVENC if you intend to stream.
