Hi,

My name is Greg and I stream with a Dual PC setup.  My current processor the i7 7820xe processor is not cutting it with all of the overlays and multi-source scenes.  Im looking to upgrade but what processor will help with the encoding that Streamlabs OBS does?  Is it more cores? Higher CLock speeds? I want to get the right processor for the job but im not sure what to get.  I would think more cores and a more productivity focused processor would do.  PS I dont want to code in the Nvedec style. I want to go x264.  If anyone can shine some light and give me some suggestions that would be great.

Price is of no matter at all. I stream full time so i want to invest into my setup and my stream does pretty well so price is no object.  I just dont want to buy a 2k processor unless i know its going to solve my problem.  I would like to stay intel but i know the threadripper is pretty good with productivity.  SO ANY info or opinions or knowledge would be great! Thanks in advance!!

I would recommend a 3900x. They recently got a price drop, and 12c/24t will destroy streaming. If you really wanted to ball out you could go for a 3950x, but I feel like threadripper isn't really necessary.
